Strings
The family of string instruments include violin, viola, cello, and the stand-up bass. The String family is one of the oldest families of instruments. Being a vital part of orchestral and chamber music, many famous composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, and Beethoven have written for strings. We recommend that students who want to begin playing strings start on the violin. We recommend violin students be ages 6 and up.
